Potchefstroom - Police recovered 111 suspected stolen livestock from different parts of the North West province.


The livestock was worth over R850 000 and made up of cattle, sheep, and goats. 

According to SAPS’s Sabata Mokgwabane, a total of thirteen suspects were arrested on charges of stock theft and possession of suspected stolen stock.

"The recovered stock worth R887 500 includes 100 cattle, 10 goats and one sheep in various parts of the province. Of the recovered livestock, 37 cattle and one goat were recovered by Sannieshof stock theft unit, while Stilfontein, managed to get back 31 cattle,” explains Mokgwabane.
