Klerksdorp - The agribusiness Senwes made history this week after becoming the first company to list on a brand new alternative stock exchange platform, ZAR X.
Executive financial director of the Senwes Group, Corné Kruger, says financial regulations around share trading practices meant they had to move into a stock exchange platform.
He says they did a lot of homework and decided to go the ZAR X route due to affordability and technological advances. He says share transactions were finalised within seconds on the first day of trade on Tuesday.
Kruger says they are very excited. “I think this is another project on which we have embarked and is the next step to take the company to the next level. It’s about being more technologically advanced and giving shareholders more options.
“We are already busy with several other new projects that will link in in future.”
