I said that to her after she told me that asking someone to do something for you, is not always a good idea because they hardly ever do it the way you want it to be done or the way it ought to be done. So I shared those words with her as a reminder that; if there's anything that she ever wants to do or wish to have it done, then she's the best person to do it because if she doesn't, who will?!

It's only natural to delegate and ease the pressure off yourself, however, there are certain things in life that only you ought to do and in the absence of you not doing them, no one else is going to. And this brings me to what I always say: "you can avoid fulfilling your responsibilities but you can never avoid or side step the consequences of failing to fulfil your responsibilities... PERIOD". We need to realise that we don't negate something that has to be done by running away from it. The duty to do it still remains, even if you choose not to. The greatest tragedy of mankind in the recent years is a man's failure to innately assume responsibilities without being forced to. It shatters my heart into pieces to see how many fathers have abandoned their kids; how they have failed to ask themselves this question: "If I don't; who will?!"

If I don't care for my own seed (child), nurture it and see it grow into a tree that bears fruits... who will? Our parents sacrificed so much for us to be where we are today; they sacrificed not buying Tupperware, kitchen sets... just to make sure that we have something to eat, wear and can go to school. Today you are a qualified professional in your field, driving the latest car, blowing your money on girls at the clubs, buying expensive stilettos, 28" Malaysian/Peruvian hair, having forgotten where you come from...

Now, I only have one question for you: After all that your parent(s) did for you, is this how you show your appreciation for their hard work? Tell me, if you don't take good care of your parents, who will? If you don't love, appreciate, embrace, care and respect your partner, who will? This is the person that you claim to love... so do the naturalia of what is expected of the person who claims to love someone. In your line of work or studies; if you don't do the work assigned to you... who will? If you don't heal your broken heart; let go of the past; forgive those who wronged you so that you can liberate your self from the hatred and anger you have towards them... who will? If you don't stand up for yourself, fight for what you want and believe in... who will?

Stop holding back from doing the things that you ought to do. In every life's situation; we must learn to always do what we have to do so that we can do what we want to do.

Many of us have dreams and ambitions; we sit and envision how our lives will be like in the next few years... However; if you don't make your dreams come true, who will? Understand this; you are the master of your own destiny. Take charge and control of your life.

And remember... IF YOU DON'T; WHO WILL?!
