One of the most challenging if not difficult things to do in life, has to be letting go.

What makes this task enormous is the fact that it requires you to let go of something that has become a great part of you; something you have grown to identify yourself with; something that requires you to get out of your comfort zone and see your life in the present and in the future beyond the boundaries of that which you now have to let go. Not long ago I was having a good, thoughtful and mind-stimulating chat with a good friend of mine who said to me: "Fannie, my friend, the only constant thing in life is change."

The words hit home hard; they got me wondering about millions and billions of people who are today holding themselves back from being happy, successful, great, rich, wealthy, and significant... all because they find it hard to subject themselves to change by letting go of someone or something holding them back. My friend, good and evil cannot reside in the same place at the same time. If you want goodness to prevail in your life; then you need to let go of the evil. You cannot want something while you're busy holding onto something else which is preventing you from getting/having what you desire. One must die for the other to survive. Negative people must make way for optimistic ones. Those who hurt you; must make way for the ones who will truly love and honor you.

Get a pen, paper and write this down; "some people and some of the things in life have a temporary citizenship in our world... thus when their VISA expires; we have to let them go". We have to let go because their time is up. They have served the purpose of their visit in our lives; thus, we have to turn a page and start a new chapter in our lives without them. The biggest mistake we as people make; is to fool ourselves into believing that we are nothing without certain things or people. That mistake leads to a toxic and self-destructive situation whereby you end up holding on to nothing that doesn't serve you right in anyway; all because you can't imagine your life without it. You don't believe me? Ask a drug addict and an alcoholic. Every time you find yourself between a rock and a hard surface of holding on or letting go, when you know very well that it's time to leg go, always remember this: your life, happiness, prosperity, and greatness in life is not tied to anything or anyone. Before that thing or person; there was YOU and even when you let go; there will still be YOU. Regret is certainly the worst feeling ever in life; it will haunt you day and night and make you wonder what could have been had you timeously let go of something or someone. To avoid this; stop resisting change. Stop allowing certain things and people to overstay their welcome; stop extending their visa in your life when it expires.

Today... being a CHOOSEDAY; it's time to face the truth and make the  CHOICE to let go... there will never be a perfect moment to let go than right now!

Let go of the fear holding you back from taking risks in life and see how great you can be. Let go of the people who don't treat you right anymore nor serve any beneficial purpose to you in life. Let go of that negative mindset that fools you into believing that someone else is better than you; that you do not have what it takes to make it. Let go of that victim mentality that makes you feel sorry for yourself and prevents you from getting up and bouncing back from that hurt, failure, disappointments, and setback every time you fall. Let go of that mindset of self-entitlement and start working, sweating, hustling and grinding for everything and anything you want in life. Let go of the past, so that the present and the future can take their righteous and rightful place. Let go of all the people who try to pull you down and discourage you in life with their negative talk. Most importantly; let go of the person you have become and make way for the person that God destined you to be! Let go of what you are; for what you want to become!

Happy Chooseday!
