NW Premier to step in: #Ventersdorp unrest─── JOSCA HUMAN 09:54 Mon, 15 Oct 2018
The Premier of the North West is set to meet with various stakeholders in Ventersdorp, where protests have been ongoing since last week.
Police spokesperson, Sam Tselenyane, tells OFM News the situation was calm on Monday morning , as Job Mokgoro, is planning to meet with the HODs of different departments and address all outstanding issues of service delivery.
He will also give a date of his next meeting with the community. This comes after The ANC in the North West paid a visit to Ventersdorp to tend to the unrest that flared up and escalated to violence in the town, last Monday.
In a statement, the party said the Provincial coordinator, the Elections Head and other deployees from the Provincial Task Team are in the town, which together with Potchefstroom falls under the JB Marks Municipality.
