As part of his ongoing engagements with key government stakeholders, the Premier of the embattled North West, Job Mokgoro, will meet with North West provincial government officials based in district offices.

Mokgoro’s spokesperson, Vuyisile Ngesi, today told OFM News that the premier will soon meet with officials in the Rustenburg Civic Centre, the Naledi Municipality Auditorium in Vryburg, and the City of Matlosana Auditorium Hall in Klerksdorp.

Mokgoro is set to address officials on issues of good governance and the significance of putting people first.

Some of the most essential departments like Health and Public Works have been placed under administration due to the rampant mismanagement of funds.

Mokgoro early this month met with the Ngaka Modiri Molema District-based officials in a bid to regain the public’s confidence.

Ngesi says Mokgoro is hell-bent on saving the province from a total shutdown, given serious violent protests that rocked the province earlier this year in April when disgruntled members of communities demanded that then-premier Supra Mahumapelo close the door on his way out.

“Upon [Mokgoro] being elected as premier, he made a commitment to the Legislature and the people of the province that he will interact with all public servants, because if you remember very well, part of the problem that led to the public protests was purely based on service delivery. That is why the premier needs to interact with public servants,” says Ngesi.
