Politician suspects foul play after Bloem home invasion─── 15:31 Fri, 20 Jul 2018
A prominent Bloemfonteiner and Member of Parliament is not ruling out a political conspiracy following a systemic house invasion.
Freedom Front Plus’ Wouter Wessels and his wife Tammy, who is a member of the Free State Legislature, had various possessions stolen at their home Wednesday night.
Wessels told OFM News that they suspect a third force, saying the purpose of the robbery was to get hold of data that may be used to incriminate certain people.
An unknown number of robbers gained access to the house by presumably using some sort of substance that caused the Wessels couple to lose consciousness.
Wessels, who says he suffers from insomnia, says the whole incident is rather peculiar given that he never goes to bed earlier than midnight.
Wessels says they lodged a complaint with the Public Protector last week with regard to tender irregularities in the province.
