Rival taxi associations wreak havoc  | News Article

A taxi operator was taken to hospital for medical treatment after he was allegedly shot.


This after a said conflict between Hebron (HEBTA) and Letlhabile (LEBULDT) Taxi Associations in the North West.

The provincial police spokesperson, Sabata Mokgwabone, told OFM News that according to information at their disposal one taxi belonging to a member of the rival association Hebron was set alight while approximately ten others belonging to Letlhabile were stoned and damaged.

Mokgwabone further told OFM News that the situation is calm and private motor vehicles are moving without any hindrance.

“We can also confirm that the incident happened allegedly due to a dispute or a conflict between Letlhabile Taxi Association and Hebron Taxi Association," says Mokgwabong.
