SAOU meets with attorney about developments at Grey Secondary College | News Article

The SAOU is meeting with their attorney this morning to discuss the legal implications of the issues that came forward in this week’s developments at Grey Secondary College.

This after principal Deon Scheepers was stripped of most of his duties as headmaster.

The South African teachers union's (SAOU) provincial secretary, Reniël Lodewyk, told OFM News that they strongly condemn the decision made by the school governing body (SGB) and says this creates a very dangerous precedent and cannot be left unchallenged.

Meanwhile, the Free State Education Department met with Grey College Secondary’s School Governing Body late yesterday afternoon. The Free State Education Department’s spokesperson, Howard Ndaba, is yet to respond to the outcome of this meeting.
