Opposition parties in the Free State Legislature appeal to Premier Sisi Ntombela to urgently fill the vacancy she left as MEC for Cogta.
DA leader in the legislature, Roy Jankielsohn, says service delivery in the province is on the verge of collapse and there is a high need to appoint someone with expertise in this position.
His statement comes amidst protest action on the R76 between Kroonstad and Viljoenskroon.
Delivering his political message ahead of the budget votes set to take place this morning in Kroonstad, Jankielsohn told the house that the people of this community took to the streets to express their frustrations over unemployment and the lack of service delivery by the Moqhaka Municipality.
