Three men arrested for marijuana worth R36 million─── OLEBOGENG MOTSE 17:45 Thu, 22 Mar 2018
Three men have been arrested outside Colesberg in the Northern Cape for dealing in marijuana worth R36 million.
Spokesperson for police in the province, Mohale Ramatseba, told OFM News local police stopped the truck the suspects were travelling in along the N1, approximately 10kms outside Colesberg at 18:00 yesterday evening.
He says the truck was on its way to Cape Town, from Mpumalanga.
Upon searching the truck police found marijuana weighing 244 kg, worth R36 million.
The three male suspects who are aged 34, 36 and 50 respectively, were arrested for dealing in dagga.
Ramatseba says the suspects are set to appear before the local Magistrate's Court soon.
He says the Provincial Commissioner, Rismati Shivuri, commended the members involved in the crime intelligence led operation.
