'Political factions affect economic growth'─── KATLEHO MORAPELA 15:48 Wed, 11 Oct 2017
South Africa's current unstable political situation is worrying as ANC factions and questions relating to who will succeed President Jacob Zuma are mounting.
This is according to the University of the Free State's Senior Political Lecturer, Ina Gouws.
Speaking at the Small, Medium Enterprise Summit, Gouws said the country needs to acknowledge that political factions affect the economic growth of the country. She added that ahead of the ANC National Elective Conference in December, presidential hopeful Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma nor Cyril Ramaphosa might be the answer, although they do stand a good chance. She says the ANC needs to listen to the voice of reason outside of the party.
