BREAKING NEWS: Men with wigs rob Bloemfontein jewellery shop─── CHRISTAL-LIZE MULLER 12:20 Tue, 22 Aug 2017
Police in Bloemfontein are currently on the scene following an armed robbery at a jewellery shop at Brandwag in Bloemfontein about an hour ago.
Police spokesperson, Chaka Marope, could not immediately confirm the robbery. According to information five men wearing wigs entered the shop at about 11:00 this morning.
They had heavy metal objects in plastic bags which they allegedly used to smash glass showcases. One of the suspects were armed. They demanded the keys to the safe.
The suspects fled the scene in a VW Polo after they could not gain access to the safe. There were nine people in the shop, including one customer. No injuries were reported.
