Theunissen crash leaves one dead - three injured─── 06:14 Sat, 22 Apr 2017
Theunissen - In the early hours of Saturday morning Netcare 911 paramedics and the provincial services were called to a collision on the R30 in Theunissen in the Free State.
Reports from the scene indicate that two cars and a truck collided. However, the exact detail to the cause of the crash and preceding events will form part of the police investigation.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and found that the truck had burst into flames and burnt out, fortunately the driver escaped with minor injuries.
The driver of the one vehicle tragically died on impact due to the extensive injuries that he sustained, two people from the other vehicle sustained injuries, one seriously while the other had minor injuries.
Paramedics worked fervently at the scene to stabilise the injured before they transported them to local hospitals for the care that they required.
