Unlike previous years, there is no single player who has been tipped to win the years first Major. This is due to all the worlds top golfers being on form and playing exceptional golf.

Many feel that Branden Grace is the next South African to win a major, however, the golf pundit and renowned commentator, Dale Hayes, believes that if a South African should win this year it will be Louis Oosthuizen.

"From a South African point of view, I think the guy with the best chance is Louis (Oosthuizen).

"You know Louis hits the ball beautifully, he plays well over there. He tied with Bubba Watson and lost in that famous play-off a few years ago.

"Charl Schwartzel has won it, and Trevor Immelman has also won it, but I think that Louis is the guy with the best chance.

"In saying that, the South Africans haven't played well this year."

This year marks the 40th anniversary of Gary Player famously beating Seve Ballesteros in 1978 to win the Masters for the final time.
