Daniel Baron is in 'legal battle' against Franch Dj David Guetta after claims of coping his song

Local singer Daniel Baron has taken the matter forward and is serious about claims that French DJ David Guetta copied his popular 2016 song Children of the Sun.

According to a press statement, Daniel's team "found that [David Guetta's new track] Light Headed contains an identical melodic, chordal and rhythmic similarity to what has become Daniel Baron's most success single to date." The statement read

Daniel also appointed Jean Zeidel-Rudolf who is a local music professor to conduct a musicologist report "which analyses the tracks and has subsequently ruled that plagiarism is clear."

Because of the similarities of the 2 songs, SAMRO has taken the decision to freeze the royalty streams to the track until the matter is resolved.

Time for South Africa to get ready for something big. One of the world’ s biggest rock acts right now are headed to SA as the Rocking The Daisies festival announced that The 1975 will be headlining this year’s 2019 festival.

The group is set to be the first international headliners announced for the upcoming festival.  the exciting event will take place at Cloof Wine Estate in Darling,Western Cape between the 4th and the 6th of October 2019.

Former Springboks player Bryan Habana graduates Overseas in France!

Posting on his Instagram page to celebrate his achievement, the 35-year-old Bryan posted pictures from his graduation ceremony looking excited on the day.

"What a journey it’s been with @toulousebs and @provalerugby getting back into the books and trying to upskill myself for the life after rugby. The sense of accomplishment tonight during our graduation was incredibly special," he captioned before thanking his wife for supporting him.
