The VKB Knights welcome facing a loaded Titans team when the 4-Day Domestic Series resumes on Wednesday morning.


The third-placed Knights will host the defending champions in Bloemfontein, and while they welcome back six players who competed in the inaugural Mzansi Super League, Mark Boucher, has named a very strong Titans outfit, which includes Faf du Plessis, Dean Elgar, Aiden Markram, Chris Morris, Heinrich Klaasen, and Tabraiz Shamsi.

The Knights in their turn welcome the return of Pite van Biljon, Duanne Olivier, Eddie Leie, Ryan McLaren, Rudi Second and Patrick Kruger, who were all on MSL T20 duty over the past six weeks.

The Knights captain, Pite van Biljon, who won the MSL T20 with the Jozi Stars, tells OFM Sport that they expect a good challenge.

“We were the only team with three Knights guys. I won’t that was that the reason the Jozi Stars won, but it definitely played its part.

“With regards to the game against the Titans, it is a big challenge for us. It’s a great opportunity to play against the Test captain and a whole host of other internationals as well, and for our boys to show what they can do.”

Play at the Mangaung Oval is scheduled to start at 10:00on Wednesday morning.
