Following a quick return home to deal with family matters, Proteas spinner Tabraiz Shamsi has re-joined the national side ahead of their 2nd and final must win test match against Sri Lanka on Friday.
Shamsi was a doubt for the second test after personal matters back home forced the left-arm chinaman to return to South Africa with no guarantee that he will be available for the final test on the sub-continent.
Shamsi’s spinning partner Keshav Maharaj in his turn says that although bowling with another spinner on the International scene is a first for him, it’s good to have his Dolphins teammate back again.
"Shamsi and I played a bit of domestic cricket together so we always knew each other and what we are about and we really enjoy bowling together."
"Its something new to me because I have never bowled with another spinner on the international scene but he is back and he is ready to go," Maharaj said.
Tomorrow’s 2nd test against Sri Lanka takes place at the SCC Grounds in Colombo and gets underway at 06:30 on Friday morning.
