The Cape Cobra’s and their coach, Ashwell Prince, will not be underestimating the VKB Knights when these sides meet in their latest One Day Cup fixture to be played at Newlands in Cape Town today.

Despite a comfortable 3rd place on the Momentum One Day Cup log, the Cobras will not be taking the Bloemfontein side lightly who in their turn are yet to register a win.

The Capetonians remain weary that a wounded Knights team is a dangerous Knights team.

Nicky Boje's men have suffered 3 defeats and 2 tied results in their 5 games played so far which is far from what the former Protea would have had in mind for this season.

It is however not all lost for the Knights as a win for them will move them off the foot of the table into 5th place above the Knights.

A win is also non-negotiable for the Knights if they still have any aspirations to make the knockout stages of the tournament which, including today's fixture, is just 5 matches away.

The equation for the Knights then is simple, win or face missing out on a 2nd knockout stage in as many competitions as they failed to threaten the local T20 cup as well.

Today's game at Newlands in Cape Town gets underway at 13:30 while the Titans and Highveld Lions will clash at Willowmoore park in Benoni at the same time.
