Despite a 2-0 test series whitewash followed by a 3-0 One Day International series whitewash over Bangladesh, the Proteas are looking to finish strong in the remaining T20 International series of 2 matches against the Tigers.

Ottis Gibson and his chargers will however be without the services of captain Faf Du Plessis after the batsman injured his back in the sides 200 run ODI victory over Bangladesh at Buffalo Park in East London yesterday.

Following their strong showing against Bangladesh and despite the loss of Du Plessis, Protea batsmen and wicket keeper, Quinton de Kock who contributed 73 runs with the bat at Buffalo Park, said that the side would still like to finish strong in the series.

De Kock says, "As a team we want to finish strong, I think it is going to be a tough competition (T20 Series), I think the Bangladeshis are going to come back strong."

"They (Bangladesh) are very good at the shorter format, we are going to have to keep our eye out for them, hopefully we can take a series win against them, " de Kock said.

The 1st T20 match between these two nations gets underway at 18:00 on Thursday at the Mangaung Oval in Bloemfontein.
