Following their 10 wicket drubbing of Bangladesh in the 1st of 3 One Day International fixtures that was played at the Diamond Oval in Kimberley, the Proteas want to avoid complacency heading into tomorrow’s 2nd ODI.

Hashim Amla together with Quinton de kock put on a record 282 run opening partnership against the visitors in that 1st ODI, steering the Proteas to a 1-0 series lead.

A 2-0 test series whitewash over the tigers towards the end of September and beginning of this month, may suggest that Ottis Gibson's side have come into some form, but the opening batsman Amla, says taking form for granted is a big mistake.

"When you go through some tough times, when you are struggling to find runs you think of those moments when you are in good nick to try and keep the momentum."

He added, "we have a good team and good team environment and in any international sport you cant take things for granted."

The Proteas will attempt to extend that series lead to 2-0 when these sides lock horns in the 2nd ODI which will get under way at 10:00 tomorrow at Boland Park in the Western Cape town of Paarl.
