Warrant of arrest for Zuma mischievous - Mahumapelo─── LUCKY NKUYANE 07:33 Sun, 23 Feb 2020
The masses are preparing to descend in their numbers on Pietermaritzburg come May 6.
This is according to the former North West premier and Parliamentary member (MP), Supra Mahumapelo.
Mahumapelo was among thousands of former president Jacob Zuma supporters gathered at the OR Tambo International Airport to welcome him back in the country from Cuba.
He says the warrant of arrest issued against Zuma by Pietermaritzburg High Court Judge, Dhaya Pillay, is mischievous.
This, after Zuma failed to appear in court due to ill health, for which he reportedly received medical treatment in Cuba.
The warrant of arrest will be effected if Zuma fails to turn up for his next court appearance on May 6.
In August 2019, Mahumapelo defended Zuma when he lashed out at those who were criticizing Zuma's 9-year term in office.
This, after Zuma made his first-ever appearance at the Commission of Inquiry into State Capture following serious implications from various testimonies including former minister Ngoako Ramatlhodi and former Government spokesperson, Temba Maseko.
Mahumapelo then mentioned that three critical things happened during Zuma’s tenure: the alliance partners functioned much better and a massive outreach programme and consultation programme were undertaken.
