Elderly Bfn woman attacked at home─── 16:10 Tue, 19 Nov 2019
A 79-year-old woman was attacked at her house in Faunasig, Bloemfontein, in the Free State at around 09:00 o’clock on Tuesday morning 19 November 2019.
The victim was stabbed multiple times with most visible wounds on her face. Police spokesperson, Motantsi Makhele, told OFM News that it is alleged the suspects broke a window to gain access. The elderly woman was taken to a local hospital for medical treatment. A case of robbery is opened.
“Police found an empty jewellery case outside the house. Indications are that jewellery was stolen.”
There is no information concerning the perpetrators as the victim was not in a state to talk to the police. Makhele further said.
The police urge anyone with information to call SAPS crime stop number on 08600 10111 or alert their nearest police station.
