#BreakingNews: Bloem may see World Cup trophy after all | News Article

All indications are that the Rugby World Cup trophy is coming to Bloemfontein.

The much-anticipated news has been shared by the Free State Rugby Union, with Spokesperson Ronel Pienaar saying all indications are that a few players and the trophy will visit the City of Roses in January 2020.

This exciting turn of events comes as the Springboks have embarked on the last round of their victory tour with the Webb-Ellis trophy in Cape Town today (11 November). The trophy parade visited the Eastern Cape yesterday – the home ground of captain Siya Kolisi and coach Rassie Erasmus.

Free State citizens have been steadfast in various plights for the Boks trophy tour celebrations making its way to Bloemfontein as well - where currently over 12 600 patrons have signed a petition launched by OFM’s The Big Breakfast.
