ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at about 5.15pm to find both the men and their bikes off the side of the road, ER24 spokesman Ross Campbell said.
"Both had sustained severe injuries in the collision and unfortunately showed no signs of life. Both were declared dead on arrival by ER24." Police were on the scene to investigate, Campbell said.
