WATCH: #Celtic supporters arrested after abandoned #PSL match | News Article

Ten Bloemfontein supporters were arrested after police fired rubber bullets and stun grenades to disperse a crowd that invaded the pitch and forced the abandonment of a PSL match between Bloemfontein Celtic and Cape Town City FC.

Celtic supporters have been boycotting games since the beginning of the year, demanding the owner Max Tshabalala sell the team to local businesswoman Sinki Leshabane and her consortium. This, however, has not happened yet due to proper documentation that is not yet in place. Mabena Pule, the spokesperson of the supporters, condemns the pitch invasion at the Dr Petrus Molemela Stadium in the Free State capital yesterday, saying their call for boycotts has always been peaceful.

Celtic CEO, Kumbalani Konco, also condemns the incident and told OFM News there’s another meeting scheduled for today to discuss the matter, and PSL says a rematch will be held on Wednesday.
