Free State Stars player, Sinethemba Jantjie, will be laid to rest in the Eastern Cape Saturday morning.
This follows after Jantjie died in a car crash in the early hours of Monday morning.
His passing sent shockwaves through the soccer fraternity with many taking to social media to express their sadness at the news.
The 30-year-old dribbling wizard will be buried in his home village of Whittlesea.
A memorial service was held in his honour at Bethlehem on Thursday.
Ea Lla Koto’s weekend Absa Premiership clash against Highlands Park, which was scheduled at Makhulong Stadium in Tembisa for Saturday, has been called off to allow for the star winger to be buried.
Jantjie featured in 20 of Stars’ 24 league games this season‚ scoring four goals in the process.
