Sekhing CHC finally completed after 8 years | News Article

The multi-million rand Sekhing Community Health Centre in Taung, in North West, is expected to finally be handed over to residents after its completion following eight years of construction.

Spokesperson for the provincial health Department, Tebogo Lekgethwane, confirmed to OFM News the centre has been completed and that residents can rest assured that the R130 million centre will be handed over in April by both the royal council and Health MEC Madoda Sambatha. He says Sambatha visited the area on Monday to meet with the local royal council and the community to consult on a suitable date and name for the centre.

OFM News previously reported that Sambatha lambasted what he called the snail's pace at which construction of the centre was proceeding following unrest from the community about the lack of access to health care centres in that area.
