It forms part of government’s programme towards improving the rate of economic growth locally.  Kgotso Tau, spokesperson for the department, says the understanding is that the economy is not growing at the rate that it is supposed to. This can be achieved by attracting foreign direct investments. He says the provincial government has put together a number of potential investors, internationally, nationally and locally, that will have an opportunity to establish the availability of investment opportunities this coming Thursday at the conference in Bloemfontein.

He says the provincial government will also on Thursday launch its 2019 Free State Investment Prospectus which forms part of Pres. Cyril Ramaphosa's plan to attract R1.3 trillion’s investments in the next five years to South Africa.
