The circumstances surrounding the discovery of a 26-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the head on Friday evening outside Bloemfontein are still unclear.
ER24’s Werner Vermaak tells OFM News paramedics found the man in a critical condition with a bullet wound to the head at around 20:30 on Friday evening.
He was in his car, which was found along the R702 road, heading to Dewetsdorp from the Free State capital.
Emergency medical personnel treated the 26-year-old man before he was taken to a nearby hospital for medical attention. Local police are yet to provide details on the matter, but are expected to do so soon.
