Mangaung metro alerts political parties to remove posters─── 11:57 Wed, 15 May 2019
The Mangaung Metro has alerted political parties, as well as the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC), to remove advertising posters that had been put up prior to the 2019 national elections held last week 8 May 2019.
All posters within the jurisdiction of Mangaung are to be removed 14 days after the date of the election.
The Mangaung Metro Municipality has set a penalty of R252 per poster. This amount will be charged if the posters are not removed by each responsible party by the given date. The municipality has vowed to take legal steps and strict actions against the parties that fail to comply with the given notice.
