The search for a suspected female lion roaming the Vermaas and Bospoort farming area near Ottosdal and Lichtenburg in North West continues.
Communities in this area are warned to be vigilant and cautious at all times especially when the spot they animal. Jonathan Denga from the Department of Rural, Environmental and Agricultural Development’s, says the lion has not been physically seen yet, but her tracks were first noticed on Friday, thereafter other reports that her tracks were seen, followed.
A search was started by role players from the department, police and local farmers. OFM News’ Christal-Lize Muller spoke to Denga on Wednesday.
