Newcastle born André Kunz counts himself as one of the many TUKS FM graduates currently enjoying thriving radio careers. Since his introduction to radio Andre has worked tenaciously to climb up the ranks and currently hosts the Number 1 afternoon drive show in central South Africa.
Describing himself as “fun, friendly and always keen to braai”, André’s determination in driving you home with a smile, has seen him nominated as Radio Presenter of the Year in the 2014 Huisgenoot Tempo Awards as well as walking away with the Best of Bloemfontein Award in the Best Local Radio Show category that same year.
“Thank you. You give me a reason to live. You give me a reason to smile. You are a friend.” These words were said to Zelda Goetz in passing by a homeless gentleman who made a point of listening to OFM every night from a small cellphone radio. It was upon hearing these words that Zelda knew she had found her chosen path and today these words continue to ignite her passion for radio.
Zelda joined OFM’s Street Squad and was offered an on-air training position in 2014. After a year of sharpening her skills, Zelda joins the OFM on air team to host a midnight show with catchy links, great music and her bubbly personality as the star.
WR started as a Breakfast Show Presenter on campus radio at the North West University in Potchefstroom in 2012 while doing a degree in economics and international trade. He joined the OFM Street Squad shortly after starting in Potchefstroom and moved on to become the eye in the sky at the annual Nampo-harvest day and recently joined OFM in Bloemfontein.
From a young age he was passionate about becoming a radio presenter and luckily that is exactly how his path panned out. He enjoys travelling, scuba diving and flying in his free time.
Born and bred in the Mother City of Cape Town, Adrian had his first taste of radio in 2007, whilst in Grade 11 at Settlers High School. Although the time on radio was short lived, he quickly found his way back onto the airwaves on completion of his National Diploma in Journalism at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology.
Since then be it online, campus, community, retail or commercial radio, Adrian has been involved in all of them.
Raised in a sport crazed house, the rugby player enjoys all things sport, having played and coached rugby and cricket, much to his enjoyment.
Adrian coined his own life motto, “Positivity Always”, and enjoys seeing others succeed in life and lending a hand where he can.
He believes radio is his calling and the platform he has been given to change lives.
Catch the team weekdays from 16:00 to 19:00.
