Adrian Botha's Biography

Adrian was born and raised in the northern suburbs of Cape Town where he matriculated from The Settlers High School in 2008. He then went on to study at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology where he graduated with a National Diploma in Journalism.

Adrian’s journey in the media industry started with pen in hand as a journalist for a local community newspaper in Cape Town, after which his career in broadcasting took flight. He started surfing the airwaves on Taxi Radio Online where after Adrian then moved to Stellenbosch University’s MFM 92.6 to continue his radio journey.

In 2013 he joined the then brand new commercial radio station Smile 90.4 FM as a news and sport journalist but his time at Smile was short-lived as the 24-Hour South African news channel ANN7 quickly snapped Adrian up where he became an award winning news and sport television journalist.

In 2016 Adrian’s journey with OFM started with the Liberty Radio Award nominated Afternoon Delight Show between 16:00 and 19:00 weekdays where he fulfilled his duty as afternoon sport presenter.

Come 2017, Adrian has now joined The Big Breakfast team on OFM 94-97 broadcasting weekday mornings 06:00 – 09:00 where he brings you the latest sporting updates and results.
