Van ‘Nuwe Liefde’ tot nuwe seisoen vir Nadine Blom─── 07:30 Thu, 29 Feb 2024
Een van Bloemfontein se mooiste rose is eersdaags terug in haar geboortestad en sal ook op die klankgolwe te hoor wees as deel van die OFM-span.
Nadine Blom, die geliefde sangeres, motiveringspreker en die brein agter die Supercool vir Jesus-handelsmerk, skuif op 1 April 2024 agter die mikrofoon in op Die Klank van Jou Lewe. Sy sal deel wees van die ontbytprogram, Good Morning Breakfast, elke weeksoggend van 06:00 tot 09:00, sowel as die Nuut in Afrikaans, elke Sondagaand van 19:00 tot 20:00.
Blom het reeds haar loopbaan as omroeper by BOK Radio in Kaapstad geslyp en het onlangs die weeksoggendprogram van 11:00 tot 13:00 aangebied.
Verlede jaar het sy ook ’n nuwe treffer, Nuwe Liefde, uitgereik wat lof toegeswaai is, terwyl sy ook twee dekades in die musiekbedryf gevier het.
“Alles het ten goede meegewerk vir Nadine om by die OFM-familie aan te sluit. Sy sluit aan by Shandor Potgieter, Margaret Whitfield, en John Walland – wat ’n kragtige ensemble! Hierdie viermanskap gaan beslis nie teleurstel nie,” vertel Tim Thabethe, OFM-programbestuurder. “Ons sien uit na Nadine se sterk teenwoordigheid wanneer ons vroegoggend met die ontbytspan wakker word.”
“Ek sien uit daarna om terug te wees in my geboortedorp en om die kontrei se mense te leer ken by OFM se buiteuitsendings en aktiwiteite waar ons uitsaai. Ek sien ook baie uit daarna om elke oggend deel te wees van almal se lewe,” vertel Nadine.
Blom het haar meestersgraad in Internasionale Reg aan die Universiteit van Johannesburg voltooi en is ’n ywerige kampvegter vir menseregte. Sy lewer gereeld landswye toesprake oor kuberveiligheid en die gevare wat sosiale media inhou.
Sy het twee Sama-toekennings (South African Music Awards), ’n Ghoema-toekenning, ’n Bokkie-toekenning, drie Afri-Indie-toekennings en ’n Flam Toekenning verwerf vir haar bydrae tot die Suid-Afrikaanse musiekbedryf en goue status verwerf met etlike uitreikings.
Gedurende 2003 debuteer Nadine by die KKNK met haar volwasse debuutproduksie en CD, “Veer”. Duette is een van Nadine se passies en deel sy met die jare die verhoog met stemme soos Andre Schwartz, Jannie Moolman, Rina Hugo, die Afro Tenors en Sibongile Ngoma. Nadine identifiseer gedurende 2008 ’n behoefte aan “Afrikaanse tween-popmusiek” vir kinders en stel sy ’n DVD en CD getiteld Supercool vry in 2009.
Haar enkelsnit Nuwe Liefde (geskryf deur Hunter Kennedy, Janie Bay en haarself) kondig haar 20-jaar-viering in die musiekbedryf aan. Nuwe Liefde is bekendgestel tydens Oktober 2023 en toer sy dwaroor Suid-Afrika om haar 20-jaar-herdenking in die musiekbedryf saam met haar aanhangers te vier.

From new music to a new season for Nadine Blom
One of Bloemfontein's most beautiful roses will soon be back in her native city and will also be heard on the airwaves as part of the OFM team.
Nadine Blom, well-known singer, motivational speaker, and the founder of the Supercool for Jesus brand, moves in behind the mic on The Sound of Your Life on 1 April 2024. She will be part of the breakfast programme, Good Morning Breakfast, every weekday morning from 06:00 to 09:00, as well as the Nuut In Afrikaans, every Sunday evening from 19:00 to 20:00.
Blom has already honed her career as an announcer at BOK Radio in Cape Town and recently presented the weekday morning programme from 11:00 to 13:00.
Last year, she also released a new hit, ‘Nuwe Liefde’, which received a lot of popularity and praise, while also celebrating two decades in the music industry.
“The stars aligned when Nadine agreed to join the OFM family. With the Good Morning Breakfast show now made up of Potgieter, Margaret Whitfield, John Walland and Nadine Blom - what a powerful ensemble! We look forward to her strong presence when stirring up a strong pot of coffee first thing in the morning with the breakfast team,” says OFM Program Manager, Tim Thabethe.

Blom completed her Masters in International Law at the University of Johannesburg and is a keen campaigner for human rights. She regularly delivers nationwide speeches on cyber security and the dangers of social media.
She has won two SAMA Awards (South African Music Awards), a Ghoema Award, Bokkie Award, three Afri-Indie Awards and a Flam Award for her contribution to the South African music industry and achieved gold status with several releases.
During 2003, Nadine debuted at the KKNK with her mature debut production and CD "Veer". Duets are one of Nadine's passions and over the years she has shared the stage with voices such as Andre Schwartz, Jannie Moolman, Rina Hugo, the Afro Tenors and Sibongile Ngoma. During 2008, Nadine identified a need for "African Tween pop music" for children and released a DVD and CD titled Supercool in 2009.
Her single, ‘Nuwe Liefde’ (written by Hunter Kennedy, Janie Bay and herself) heralds her 20 year celebration in the music business. ‘Nuwe Liefde’ was launched in October 2023 and she is touring across South Africa to celebrate her 20 years in the music career with her fans.
